My research interests focus on biomarkers in fish and invertebrates. In particular, I am interested in determining changes in biomarkers induced by pollution and environmental factors. Recently I have been working on investigating the effects of high hydrostatic pressure and dietary conditions on various biomarkers in fish.

Until November 30, 2013, I was a post-doctoral researcher at CIIMAR – Centre for Marine Environmental Research, a unit of Porto University, at the Laboratory of Ecophysiology (LECOF), in Porto, Portugal.
